Hey! So Glad You're Here.

Queermunity is a community-focused magazine that aims to amplify the voices and celebrate the stories of LGBTQIA+ people and their allies.

Queermunity is a safe space for people to express their queer identities in order to inform other people about their experiences, with a focus on social, political, and economic issues affecting the Queermunity today.

We chose Queermunity as our title because we felt that it encompassed what we hope to create. We want to showcase real people and provide a space for you to be authentic to yourself without fear of judgement or shame. We hope that Queermunity can be a reflection of our rich and diverse community and invite everyone to get involved.

We do not want to see the word queer as an offensive slur, but something we want to embrace and lift up in society to promote equality and acceptance. A community is a place that feels like home for all its members, and we want our readers to feel safe and support each other.

This will be a magazine created by you, for you, so the more people involved, the better it will become. If you want to contribute, please get in touch with info.queermunity@gmail.com.

Some say as queer people we get to choose our family and we want to extend a warm welcome into ours. We hope you'll feel at home.

About Us

We are a collaboration of volunteers who identify as part of or support the LGBTQIA+ community and want to provide a platform for people that can educate, empower and share their relatable stories.

Everyone involved in Queermunity is a volunteer. The team dedicates their time and expertise to help make Queermunity possible. We would like to thank all contributors and volunteers for their time and dedication. We will always owe you our gratitude and respect.

As a community-focused magazine, we give space to everyone’s voices. These voices do not necessarily reflect our own opinions or values. However, Queermunity was designed to be and always will be a safe space for all of its readers and contributors. We will never publish or tolerate any form of hate speech and we hope to build a network of empathetic and compassionate people. We will always treat others with respect and dignity, and expect the same from others in return.

Queermunity would not be able to continue without our great volunteer team and so we are always looking for more likeminded individuals to join the team and help us in making Queermunity's vision a reality. If you would like to become a valued team member please get in touch with info.queermunity@gmail.com

And finally, a big thank you and shout out to all our amazing contributors and volunteers who have given over their time to the creation of Queermunity and who have provided the blog with so many amazing articles!
